Angry Birds
Almost everybody having a smartphone must have at least heard about Angry Birds, if not actually played it. You must be a pig or a pig sympathizer if you haven't played or heard about it! Angry Birds has been a runaway hit app on Apple's iTunes App Store constantly topping the charts  on  iTunes Store. Since its release in December 2009, the game's unprecedented success has prompted the company, Rovio,  to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones running  Android, Symbian and Palm WebOS. Making the app truly multiplatform, versions have been released for PSP, Windows and Mac desktops as well. So, if you are an Angry Birds addict or had missed the bus earlier, you can now enjoy the unadulterated addictive fun of Angry Birds on your desktop for free, demolishing green pigs with panache. You would require Google Chrome with a Goole account to download the app from Chrome Web Store free of cost (presently only Beta version). But once downloaded, you can run it in any other browser by simply visiting http://chrome.angrybirds.com. Just like mobile versions, Angry Birds is a total blast to play in your browser using your mouse or a touchpad. You can play the game in SD or HD version and  the game loads fast and does not feel sluggish at any point even when playing the HD version. Another cool feature is that you can even play the game offline thereby allowing you to play the game anywhere. The Chrome avatar of the game has 70 levels including some Chrome only levels known as Chrome Dimension levels. These levels can only be accessed by finding Chrome balls hidden in other levels and knocking them down with the birds. More levels are promised soon. Even if you had already played Angry Birds on any of the multiple platforms it is available for, it is a fun experience to be playing inside of the browser. So go ahead and download Angry Birds from Chrome Web Store but make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome. Let the demolition begin on your desktop and dish out revenge on the green pigs who stole the Birds’ eggs! Oink Oink!
