I was really fed up of typing in login details for multiple websites everyday. Of course, browsers can save login data but it still remains an insecure way to save passwords, specially on an office computer. While searching for a solution, I came across LastPass which seemed to be a panacea for my troubles. LastPass is an online password manager that automatically fills in saved logins and forms with the click of a button. Your LastPass master password is the only password you'll ever need to remember. This handy little Web app and browser plug-in also syncs your data to any computer you use regularly and that too across multiple browsers and platforms. You can import your saved passwords and forms from various browsers or password managers like RoboForm, KeePass, 1 Password etc. You can even store your sensitive credit card information for quick retrieval. LastPass employs industry leading strong 256AES encryption for your passwords and credit card information which makes them secure from prying eyes. You can even access your passwords from your friend's computer or cybercafe by logging on to your account at lastpass.com. Besides that you can even generate strong hack proof passwords which you won't need to remember ever. You can also carry your LastPass vault on your USB and export your data to a text file. And the icing on the cake is that it is completely free. You can upgrade to the premium version for as little as $1 per month which provides on the go access to your passwords on your mobile devices, advertisement free experience and priority support. I am currently using the basic free version and planning to upgrade to premium for access on my iPhone and Windows 7 phone. But for most practical purposes, the basic free version should suffice. You can download LastPass for your browser here and forget about remembering any other passwords ever.
